Internet crashes only with this game

for some reason, valheim kinda crashes my connection.
not only do the people in the server freeze, but discord, chrome, every thing just lags.
looked it up and more people are experiencing it.
this is a major problem (one that actually prevents me from playing the game) so I would like to know if there are any solutions for this.

really I just can't play. I wonder if I can get a refund after playing for 7 hours because I really didn't think it was that much of a problem but now I realize that having my internet crash every now and then only because of a game actually makes this game unplayable

Check your NIC drivers. I recommend Snappy Driver Installer, it finds every single driver on your computer, stuff you didn't even know existed, and locates potential updates.

Don't let it update your GPU driver, do that yourself if you need to.

Make a system restore point before you do, just in case (it likely won't ever be needed).

thanks for responding but it's not the problem. the computer is brand new and I believe there is no relation between that and my internet crashing only when I play valheim, also seems like I didn't mention it but if you search this problem online I'm not the only one with the exact same problem. Now I have a game I literally cannot play for some reason, that I paid for, and I can't do anything about it.

I have a similar problem, my spouse and I try to play together and it will completely crash our router. we have to close the game on both laptops and restart the router to get internet connectivity back. no idea what's causing it but it happens every time we play. it didn't use to happen until the most recent update. sadly i'm thinking there is nothing to do but wait for a fix from the devs

I have many more hours and would also demand a refund but I know I wont get one.

Internet issues are still present with this game -_-
