Loss of Sound
I do not get any sound in Valheim presently. I have verified my audio settings and have played other games that come through fine, but my sound has disappeared in Valheim.

this one didn't get fixed, but they know about it. I have to go into my steam deck sound settings and switch to default and back to auto. then it works. I don't know why it's the only game that does it, but that's the "Fix" for now. Apparently you can reinstall and it might fix it for a bit. not sure if it's a deck problem or a game Dev problem.

Thanks - I play on PC, not the deck. I have gone through the settings for WIndows, Discord, and Soundblaster, to no avail. Other games don't have any issues. I will try the uninstall/reinstall and see if ti works.

It's a bug on Linux systems. As a workaround, launch the game in proton compatibility mode, or once the game has launched, minimise the game, open sound settings and re-apply your output sound device.

Looked through some of the threads regarding Logitech issues, and thought I would add my sound components - I do get sound through my 2 piece external speakers (Bose), but not through my wireless headset (Astro A50), which possibly could be related to some of the wireless Logitech mouse issues? Again, the headphones work fine with other games and playback sites like Youtube. I have Soundblaster Z audio card, with headphones using optical jack, speakers using 3.5mm speaker output jack. For OS, running Win 10, latest update. I have checked driver versions of all associated hardware to the latest.

I will see if I can try this proton mode, but nor certain.

I think I may have resolved the issue - had to remove the device from Windows, then reinstall and re-enable the device. Thank you for the help!
I'm having a similar issue on desktop linux. Rather than play through my headset, the sound is playing the speakers on my monitor.

I'm still having this issue. There is no sound at all through any output devices.
