Shield Generator getting destroyed (FIXED)

The Shield Generator self-destructs at random intervals, but at least once per hour. There are four generators in the castle in identical places and the enemy cannot access them. This shield takes more hits than the others because it's right next to the lava field, but shouldn't the shield just wear out faster? The generator doesn't even take damage, but at some point I always hear it break down.

On which building piece do you have the shield generator placed?

im running into the same issue, had two in (sorta) opposite corners, built on ashwood that has grausten underneath.
there is a roof over both, but dont believe that is the trigger.

they recently changed the shield gen in a patch so it requires Heavy build pieces (stone) or terrain underneath, from what I can tell. So the ashwood not working is understandable. idk about the OP issue.
