Freezing and crashing
Game keep freezing at random times during solo gameplay.
Offline server fairly new world with no mods installed.
Already reinstalled and verified tegrity a few times, and happens between 6-90 minutes so far, all in the Meadows

What are your system specs? Game freezes, sound goes on?

CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 12GB
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 3200 2x16GB

Game starts and plays normally, then the video freezes and the prompt to wait for program to respond or exit program pops up. I have had sounds freeze all but one time they did continue for a bit before stopping.

Using any mods? Is there anything useful in your log files?

Next time you freeze, also check out your RAM usage just to confirm there isn't an issue there. More specifically, how before launching Valhiem and after the freeze, this part[i.imgur.com] looks like. I would generally recommend re-installing the game and re-installing the graphic drivers (emphasis on uninstalling first, then during installing select custom installation + clean profile option).

Trying again now and video only this time, audio still worked. RAM and CPU usage did not spike. No mods have already reinstalled game, reinstalling fresh again now with graphics driver as well.

After all recommended fixes game still crashes, at various times. Only other program open is discord at the moment of crash

Correction discord not running on next attempt, first freeze was after over an hour, second one was 10 minutes.

Black screen + no sound is usually a crash related to GPU failure, most often due to it receiving not enough power, as described in Section1:Point6 in the guide I linked to you the first time.

RAM and CPU usage is not expected to spike. When it comes to the app being unresponsive, total RAM usage should be checked. Post a screenshot of you RAM usage, like I did for mine, in the case of the the app freezing and unresponsive message being displayed. You don't have to do this for black screen, no sound issue.

If you have many different types of crashes, you should also reset your BIOS settings as well, as the guide suggests.

Did you collect any player.log after the freeze happens?
