I would recommend doing a proper clean re-installation:

1. Open your Valheim installation folder: Steam library → right mouse click on Valheim → Manage → Browse local files[i.imgur.com]
2. Keep that installation folder opened, so don't close it yet.
3. Uninstall Valheim from Steam (Steam library → right mouse click on Valheim → Manage → Uninstall[i.imgur.com]).
4. Go back to the installation folder that you left opened, and delete any leftover files that un-installation didn't manage to remove, if there are any.
5. Install Valheim on Steam again.
6. Your installation folder should now look like this[i.imgur.com].

If that doesn't help, I recommend deleting Valheim registry entries:

1. Click on Windows start and type `regedit` or `registry editor`.
2. Manually navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\IronGate\Valheim.
3. Delete this Valheim folder[i.imgur.com] in the registry.
4. Launch the game.

I have the same problem

For the past two days I've had to do the following routine to get the game working.

1 - I initially start Valheim via Steam - and it automatically stops loading with no error message

2 - I go to the game directory and try to start it from the executable, prompting an error message that my UnityPlayer is NOT meant for Windows. (It's something that comes with the game files, cuz I have not installed anything manually.)

3 - I go back to Steam, run the a verification for the game files and get an error that it couldn't verify 44 of the files.

4 - Steam doesn't really do anything about it and it doesn't really replace those files, so I reinstall the whole game

5 - Game ran fine until the next day.

6 - Now that it's day 2 with the same problem, I looked through the recent bug reports to find anyone in the same predicament, so we can rant about it together.

7 - Rant accomplished, please fix IronGate.

It's quite the hastle just to get into the game itself.....

Probably a mod that doesn't work anymore.

Never used a mod for Valheim, so quite impossible.

Might have to do it tomorrow, will see then. In any case, it's still viable to find what causes the issue, not just have a soft-fix for it.
EDIT: OS is Windowns 10 x64

Not sure this has been answered, but you can check the error message in the logfiles. Perhaps post that here?
