Valheim

Valheim

Random keys switch during the game
It is kind of interesting to be honest so let me tell you the story.
I have played Valheim on 2 computers, using the same keyboard on default setting for all the time.
Now, I have a new PC, installed the game and connected to my dedicated serwer.
I was able to use any key as it always was. Then, after few seconds, when pressing W it suddenly is choosing a sword. trying to hid it activates hammer. clicking escape makes me move to the left XD
I went to keyboard settings and tried to change going forward key, but each time I pressed W it was showing in controls screen a different sign from the keyboard.
Now, the keyboard works perfectly well in any other program, I switched off the Pad in same controls. The keyboard is just randomly picking up a sign without any reason.
Any idea?

I would recommend deleting Valheim registry entries:

1. Click on Windows start and type `regedit` or `registry editor`.
2. Manually navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\IronGate\Valheim.
3. Delete this Valheim folder[i.imgur.com] in the registry.
4. Launch the game.

After doing that, and after entering in controls menu, you will have to re-bind deconstruct, build menu and block actions, as their values will be mixed up.

If that doesn't help, list which keyboard you have, and if you have other keyboards installed on you OS (start → type language)

Hello, thanks for the prompt reply. I have done the above and this helped for around 10 minutes, then it started to freak out again. So I did it again, but this time unplugged the keyboard. Started the game and plugged it in a different USB port (from USB 3.2 to 2.0) and it works now without any issues. Thanks a lot!

Wow, that's really strange. Do you know the model of that keyboard?
