issues with mouse clicking

So I am trying to play Valheim on my new laptop and when I get into battle and try to left click to attack nothing happens. Only if I click two or three times do things start to happen or bang the key really hard. This is not the only game where it seems I have to put extra effort in getting the mouse clicks to work. When I was exploring and chopping trees and such it does better but not perfect.

I ramped up the mouse sensitivity hoping it would help but doesn't seem to. I have a MSI laptop with Ryzen 9 processor and Nvidia 4060 processor so it is capable of handling the game. I had a wireless mouse at first and thought that was the issue so I went to wired mouse and same thing happens. Any ideas guys?

Do you have another USB port to plug into? A bad port in a new laptop. Stranger things have happened. That's my only idea.

What were the mice models in question? Were they both a logitech mice?
