Fingers crossed that you can find the answer to this glitch.
For the sake of more accurately clarity:
1. Go to the steam help menu, click "system information" and then copy paste all that here so we specifically see what steam detects for your rig and any potential discrepancies that may have relevance to your crash. Saying you have xyz doesnt denote much in the way of knowing what steam sees.
Saying "no other game has issues" also doesnt have much in the way of relevance as different games in relation to one's system etc are a different set of variables that another game may not trigger (not exactly a canary in the coal mine but relatively so).
2. Are you using mods?
3. "It just crashes" could use a bit more information. Are you getting any error message/report? BSOD? Just flat return to desktop? Etc etc
Start with those basics and lets see from there.

2) No mods
3) Game freezes - i can still hear my guy doing stuff if i click but nothing changes on screen - or it just freezes totally (less often for this tho)
1: from memory the game auto saves about every 10 mins.. if you have steam cloud saves is there maybe an issue there?
2: I assume those 6T of HDU's have enough space
3 Running Vulcan does it get the same issue? ( note for me on a laptop Vulcan causes more issues than it solves)
4: have you verified files after install?
5: cant see your game play history ..So Q1: Has this only just started happening and you have hundreds of hours of gameplay.. in which case what had changed ? Updates? hardware software??
Q2 If this is your first install and havent got game working?? for more than 10 mins.. let us know here.
GL!
2) hell yes lol
3) i have tried with and without vulcan - thou with it it tends to play longer before crash
4) yes many times and uninstalled and reinstalled
5) when it first came out played beatifully, when mistalands came out i went back to game and been doing it every since
Also... I had a friend with the same issue in another game, after 30 or 45 mins in a game his entire PC would reboot. Well that ended up being a weak VRM that was having issues maintaining a steady power delivery. What wattage is your power supply? Almost sounds like the gpu is hitting a snag and your losing video. May be a bad psu?
I been playing since pre Plains quite a bit less recently, as im starting a new world.. re Q4 i think game saves when u sleep and i thought you could set a save time somewhere but i see it only set the number of saves it keeps.. maybe someone can help us here??
Q6) is version 217.38 (n 20)
Q7) So What changed? I been fixing IT for decades.. when a program works and all of a sudden it doesnt.. eith Hardware or software changed ..I know thats a big " Duh" But you are the closest to the issue .Since we are still working its not Valhiem as such..its something semi-local to you? new router? anything maybe your network is compromised..
Q8) and if you A: turn offf cloud save
then B: load an OLD local save. try playing that for 30 mins?
REMEMBER Cloud save is off!!
I have about an hour or so online still so let us know
GL!
7) well perhaps the router. but i can play it on the kids machines with zero issue and they are on same routers as i.
8) havent tried turning off cloud save will give that a shot
But, just prior to this crash dmw.exe and Dwminit also crashes.
This is caused by Xbox controller makes windows display drivers to fail.
Sollution is to update xbox controller driver for windows.
