the game itself (the game files) can be installed on another drive, but your saves will all be on the C drive no matter what drive the game is actually installed to.
i suggest clearing MORE space on your C drive if the game is saying it cant save... due to disk space limitations.
and FWIW, if you are dangerously close to filling the C drive to capacity .....it's not good... try to keep the C drive at a max of 85% filled... if you fill it to it's full capacity, deleting a mere 4GBs is not going to be enough...and you'll probably start running into the same issue with other games/programs.
delete/uninstall or start moving stuff to other drives not labeled C:
lol
2) How much RAM do you have? What kind of other programs/apps/features do you have running in the background while playing? This could be a matter of how large of a page file (Virtual Memory, where memory items that aren't being used right at the moment but still need to be maintained are kept) your OS has to make while playing.
It's really really likely that you have another problem going on that is causing the symptom of Valheim having issues. Most likely a virus, but possibly a log file going wild somewhere.
