Or at least that's all I did to fix the issue, though your post certainly helped give me the idea so thanks a lot bro!
I was going crazy trying to figure it out. I'm not real familiar with how all this works. I was at the point where I figured it was broke, and starting from scratch seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm glad you were able to fix it without going through everything I did. Thanks for the reply.
I just recently gave up on Vortex mod manager and started using R2modman from Thunderstore. The difference is night and day. Vortex makes you go to Nexus to download a mod, choose vortex or manual, if you don't have a paid version, you have to choose slow download, then you have to add the dependencies, then wait 5 seconds. R2modman does everything almost instantly within the mod manager including all dependencies . You have to check manually for updates on Vortex, then click each one and go through all the same steps as adding a new mod, and if there are conflicting issues, you have to decide which one to prioritize. R2modman automatically checks for updates. You can choose update all and it's done instantly. I wish I had used it a long time ago. Also, with R2modman, you can easily share all your mods and config files with friends with one click. It will give you a code that your friends enter and that's it, they instantly get all the mods and config files. If you have a dedicated server you're supposed to be able to update it as well, but I haven't tried it yet. I've only used R2modman for a couple of weeks and I love it. Another thing I found is that a few of the mods that are in both Nexus and Thunderstore had updates in Thunderstore that were not in Nexus. Before I downloaded R2modman, I opened vortex and told it to stop managing Valheim, then I deleted vortex, then I deleted the Bepinex folder in my game directory. I did have to manually install a few mods from Nexus (Willybach's HD Valheim, RustyNoodles Seasonality, and Willybach's Seasonality HD)into R2modman but it's very easy. If you're interested, I can tell you exactly how to do all of it so you don't have to figure out where everything is and save you the learning curve of a new manager which honestly isn't much.
