just Dl about 10 mods today for first time, and every time I near the starting altar where you hang heads the game freezes. Anyone else have this problem? Had zero issues in this before adding mods

Then remove the mods and it will probably stop crashing.

That's kinda of a duh, what I want to know if anyone else had same issue and is there a way to fix without removing mods.

no. if a mod is crashing the game, there is no way to fix that except:

1) Remove the mod
2) Fix the mod itself so it doesn't crash the game (this involves changing code)

It doesn't sound like you know enough to fix the mod (you would not be here asking if you did), so you should remove it.

Since you only added about 10, I recommend removing one, starting the game, see if it crashes. If it still crashes, put it back, then remove the second one. Start the game, see if it crashes, if it still crashes, put it back.

Repeat until you've checked all your mods. Removing one of them will likely keep it from crashing.

If that doesn't work because the problem is a conflict between two mods (for example, two mods trying to do something to the same bit of code at the same time), do it the other way. Remove all mods, then add them back one at a time until the game crashes, then remove the one that crashed it.

There's been a recent update, so one or more of the mods may not be updated and it may be causing issues. There is also the chance that a mod is not playing well with others or native files that other mods have changed. Mods often conflict - just one of the many risks of using them which you've just learned. :)

READ THE MOD NOTES BEFORE INSTALLING. Most of the time the creator will have been made aware of conflicts with other files and will have hopefully advised what will stop their mod from working. It's also worth browsing the comments for the mods if you're using forums like Nexus or Thunder to search for mods.

There is no easy way of fixing the issue if you want to keep using the mods. (The easy way is, of course, just removing all the mods entirely and playing vanilla as others have suggested.)

Take them all out and add them one by one - test the game each time you add a new mod. If you don't want to test each one individually, just keep adding mods until the game crashes and then you have an indication of which one doesn't work or is conflicting with others. Time consuming but effective.

Next time don't just add a bunch of mods all at once. :)

thanks Sunny, no i don't know how to makeor fix mods

thanks Renlish, as I said it only appears to happen when I get within a short distance of the starting altar. aside of that everything works just fine and I have been over 3 islands all over no problems. I'll try your suggestions tomorrow, worse case I remove mods and play like i did yesterday, modless

I used some mods recently ..they can easily stuff each other up.. so if u run thunderstone ? store? try running unmodded option .. if that fails uninstall em
