Valheim randomly freezing and losing progress?

Hey all,

Compared to any other game like Monster Hunter, Destiny 2, Elden Ring, this game has been the only game where I have been encountering random crashes and freezes where when I log back in, it reverts my progress anywhere between 1-3 hours back.

I've been playing this game since last week and the only difference has been installing new drivers (which I reinstalled).

My PC has even survived New World, where I put 1.2k hours into it.

My Valheim is also entirely non-modded, I play without Vulkan as well.

My steam overlay is usually always on but I went ahead and just turned that off and decided to play Valheim w/ Vulkan in hopes of better stability. Any tips would be helpful.

I too am having issues with random lockups or freezes and random auto saves to cloud not syncing, and as a consequence loosing my game data.
I`m also experiencing an audio problem where, after I disable the "music" in game settings, the music still continues to play!. Weird
No Mods running or installed, and over 2k hours of play.

Yea, I just had it do it again and when I glanced over it showed cloud status "uploading". I think this is cloud save specific, so I went and disabled cloud save and am just playing through local save. I'll be monitoring in hopes it'll help. Lost 3 in-game days worth of progress.

Just encountered it again, cloud save disabled. This is utterly frustrating, FRUSTRATING

So I went and disabled cloud save and ran unity crash and valheim and changed them both to be ran as administrator when they are on. Less crashes but when I do get it, the game rolls back 20 mins instead of 1-2 hours. But even so, I can't continue to play a game that completely wrecks my hard work, especially with how ingame resource it is (mining, cutting, smelting, etc).

The crazy thing is that my wife and I have the exact same setup yet she has never had it, and she's playing 400+ hours while I've only been playing since last week. Here's a player log for anyone who wants to see it
