Can't play multiplayer anymore

Hey,

For a few weeks now, I've been havin a lot of problems to play to Valheim. Each time I try to connect to a multiplayer game, I'm disconnected really fast, I can only play for a few minutes. It starts telling me it lost the connexion to the server (the symbol on the top left of the screen) and then I'm disconnected.
I have a very decent internet connexion, and can play to any other multiplayer game but not Valheim, even though I used to be able to. And I really don't know what to do at that point.
There is no problem with the game files, I uninstalled and reinstalled it, I restarted my box, my computer, my antivirus, I really don't know.

Can anyone help ?

I wish I could help, but I have the same problem as you.

Think it's a bug.
Maybe it's a problem with local servers, but i don't know.

But to paraphrase:
2 questions:
Are you running the most current patch on your computer?
Is the server running the same patch as your computer is running?

If the patch numbers are different, You need to alter the installation in steam game settings so that Your home system patch matches the server system patch. If you are Admin for the server you are trying to connect to, you could instead take the game offline to update the latest patch and strip out any mods that may have broken as a result of the new massive addition patch.

No mods, confirmed same versions. Clean install of the game. Created a new world, new characters.
Friend starts the server locally. I connect and login via the password. After a few minutes the network icon in the top left corner flashes for me, I get disconnected.
Same thing when I host and he joins.
This worked fine before the update.

That sounds odd, like 'Killer' network software interference. It's common bloatware in gaming computers, an comes standard in Windows 11 now. It tends to 'kill' peer to peer connections within a few minutes. disabling it while playing Valheim in multiplayer environments might do the trick if you haven't already.

I tried to play with my friends today, and the server didn't work after the update... I think it's a bug... Also I love to build in the game, so I made a server only for myself, before the update to build a lot of different houses and locations. And now after the new update EVERYTHING that I worked on in there... is GONE! There's nothing left... It's like I started from scratch, and it only saved where I left the world....
