[SOLVED] Steam Deck Issues logging into Self Hosted Dedicated Server.

So I host a small server for this on a Linux box in my home, and I can't connect to it with the steam deck. It's password protected, but I never get the password prompt. As well, other servers outside my home and of various versions, show up fine, with info and everything, but my home server just shows a question mark next to the server details.

Any and all help appreciated, Thanks!

Oh and, ports are properly forwarded (others can connect, PC can connect), doesn't seem to make a difference if I use LAN IP or the URL for my server (I believe I have this set up properly to redirect traffic to the server from inside the network, because it works on my PC just not the deck), and last but not least, I did check the version was the same, and tried multiple versions of Proton to seemingly no effect. Thanks again for any and all help.

Adding a shortcut to `/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/valheim.x86_64` as a non-Steam game worked for me, if I launch the game from the client in desktop mode for a dedicated server with Crossplay enabled.

Unlike what the post claims, I unfortunately cannot run this custom shortcut from Gaming Mode.

After much investigating including literally SSHing into my steam deck to get a log file...
I have determined this to be a ZRpc Timeout issue, so I will be checking to see if there's a way to make the timeout longer and see if that fixes the issue. Will post results.

EDIT: there is a way to make the timeout longer, however it doesn't work on the steam deck and the game simply crashes. I sincerely hope there's a fix coming, and would happily beta test and provide logs to the devs if necessary to come to a solution sooner.

Proton Experimental was the issue, I had to switch to Proton 7.0.5. Works flawlessly now.
