Valheim crashes at start

The topic just says it all, a friend and me just wanted to play but the game keeps crashing at startup.
We have installed the last version of valheim and also our graphic cards are up to date.
For me, the game just don't start. For my friend the hole computer stops working and he has to restart.

Anybody can provide info or ideas how to solve?

Please update your mods.

I highly recommend installing a mod manager like ThunderStore to manage all of your mod needs. It will detect and offer you to install updates to your mods, you can individually config, dis-, enable, or uninstall mods. You can download over 1400 mods directly through ThunderStore and much more.

It really is highly recommended to use this when modding Valheim.

Same problem. Game is crashes at startup. No mods installed. and I run the verify the game files in steam.

There are bunch of error messages in player.log, starting with following:

Fallback handler could not load library O:/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/valheim_Data/Mono/lib/usr/lib/libSystem.dylib
Fallback handler could not load library O:/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/valheim_Data/Mono/lib/usr/lib/libSystem.dylib.dll
Fallback handler could not load library O:/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim/valheim_Data/Mono/lib/usr/lib/libSystem.dylib

Then there are bunch of Unable to find errors, and informative "Crash!!!", later few

Seems like latest update needs another hotfix.

Your mods need an update. That is causing your crash.

Valheim plus screen comes up the crash it wont let me get any farther
