Sorry I can't provide more detailed insctruction but not knowing your LAN configuration and hardware I'm limited. Its actually easier than it sounds but it will take a little effort to it set up the first time.
Good luck.
See if it still does that without a connection from your network to the outside world. If it does, that has changed since earlier this year.
every time I try to do this, it screws up my internet and nobody can connect... so maybe it just doesn't work with my modem
split those by 3 not gonna be a server prob, it's going to be an internet speed problem. Becuase 28 mbps/3 plus degradation on the split at the router plus length of your cable, plus any bends produce speed loss/latency. so that can reduce speeds, and cause bottle necking.
As far the internet resets, could be your router overheating/modem overheating. Or too much packet loss causing a dns reset, or just a bad router.
Could also be your on a logic game server that has too many games running on one machine, as yours is not going to be the only one on that box.
Could also be a bad game server in general, i'd have logicservers look into it and do a trace on your servers performance. There's just way too many things it could be. Need to dig further then just thinking it's the game. If it was just the game everyone would be complaining, and from what i see they are not.
Because if it was the game having bad net code you would see it from a hella lot more people.
There are in fact many threads in this forum regarding such. Merely search "bandwidth."
Frankly that is the only thing that I can think of that would shut off your internet for a few mins.
Good to know, thanks for that info! Was about to download on second computer so my kiddo could play on the same server as I.
I'm serious when I say check the metrics yourself. Compare it to other peer-to-peer games.
[EDIT] Also, I get 77 entries in my search, so I'm guessing maybe you're limiting it by subforum or some other filter.
