2. Uninstall the game.
3. Go here:
4. Reinstall the game.
5. Start the game through Steam.
Let us know if it works.
I have tried this, still crashing after 2-3 minutes. Even if I just stand on one spot.
Please try the following steps to check and repair possible Windows system file problems:
1. Type "Powershell" in the searchbar.
2. When the search result shows up, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator".
3. A window with blue background should open.
4. Type in
5. Reboot your computer.
Oh, yeah, and make sure to download and install the latest official graphics driver for your graphics card. Please also post your computer specifications. Thank you.
2. If you're afraid that you will lose your game saves during un- and reinstall, I think it's high time that you are starting to do periodic backups of your personal data.
As you've found out, computers and software can and will fail, taking all your precious data with them. Doing backups is a MUST when operating a computer.
External hard drives are cheap, your personal data is priceless.
This is, of course, the worst time for it to crash since that means I've lost everything since the last autosave. :-(

So, the only thing I can really recommend is turning off Steam Cloud globally in the Steam settings. Before you do that, though, you need to move your characters and worlds in Valheim to local (there are buttons for it in the main menu).
I hope this helps. Below I'm linking to a procedure to recover worlds that have been reset to day 1 to a slightly older state.

Instead, what I fear is a UnityPlayer.dll problem with overclocked GPUs or System RAM*.
(*Probably this one.)
Edit: I later did a 1.5 hour intense memory scan, and it came out clean, so I no longer fear that my memory overclock is the culprit.
Later edit: I still don't know what the cause is though.
Have you tried all these?
