g-portal sever doesn't work

G-portal, by default, has automatic updates turned on. If a patch rolls out, your server will reboot immediately to apply it - and it doesn't typically save first. I suggest turning this option off in G-portal. Scheduling a daily restart at a time you know you won't be on is good if viable... if not, just do a manual restart every now and then.

Server and client need to run the same version, so maybe your provider hasn't updated the servers yet?

ZAP-Hosting.com Server also broken, it goes directly offline... when i can connect, the map is empty, no trees, nothing.

Client and Server have the same version, before anyone is asking.

I just saw in the patch notes that Valheim now offers a "default_old" branch. If your server hasn't updated yet, you can change branches and you should be able to connect again (without the new features, obviously, but at least you can keep playing).

Maybe give this a try.

I don't know how to use that function on the G-portal.

It's something every player can do client-side, while the server hasn't been updated:

Right click on the Valheim entry in your Steam Library, click Properties.
In the left column, choose Betas. Select "default_old" from the dropdown menu.
Password should not be needed.

Your Steam client will then go back to the old version. As soon as the server has updated, you can do the same thing again and choose "Non" in the beta dropdown menu. After that, you should be able to use the new features on your server worlds.

Just got this reply from G-Portal support: "We are aware of the issues with the latest update, we are currently working as fast as we can to get the issues resolved as fast as possible, I have added a day to your gamecloud to make up for this."

g-portal uses Valheim Plus which is having menu item issues. If you login and see $menu_ in front of almost everything and cannot start a game, it is Plus
