Can't see friends server

Me and my friend have been playing together for few days now, but today when he tried to host a server (which he normally do, since he got our world map), I just couldn't see his server on the server list. We've tried connecting directly using his IP, but that didn't work either.
When I host the server, everything works fine and I can invite him and he can see my server on the server list, but not the other way around, any ideas or tips? Feels Like we've tried everything.

Is he set as online on Steam? It won't show if he's in offline mode or invisible or whatever.

Unless he clicked the community button it won't show in the list but you should be able to click on friends up top and see their server

Yep, tried that, nothing works.

He's online all the time.

yo yoda you ever find a fix me and some friends having same problem was hosting a server for a few days now i can join but no one else sees it or can join

Yes, we managed to fix it. Try starting the new game (single player) log out, and then start as a server, that worked for us.
