how to find ip and port of a server?
im trying to look for the ip and port of my brothers server that we play on because sometimes it doesnt show on the list when the server is online, so to make it faster i would do the ip but idk where to find it

Go to Google, type My IP. That will be your external IP address.

Give that to your friend followed by the port, like this: 123.123.123.123:2457

The exact port can be 2456 to 2458. My dedicated server uses 2457.

Next time you have an issue, you should start a new thread in the Bugs & Technical forum, as the moderators frown on Necroing old threads.

Either have him provide you the IP address or the next time you see it in the list, hover over the server and you will see the IP address appear.

ok i did that, is an ip that starts like 765 or something an ip too?

IP numbers will never be above 255.

Edit: Unless it's IPv6 which I don't think you can use with Valheim.

How can I find my own server's IP though, to give to a friend - he's in Australia, I'm in the Eastern US, he can't find my server in his long search.
