restarting a dedicated server

I started a dedicated server a few days ago on a spare PC and I want to restart the server but I am unsure how to do this safely. like I'm kind of new to this dedicated server thing and I messed it up with project zomboid before XD

so is there some command I need to enter into console or can I just shut down the "start_headless_server.bat" window without losing any progress or anything?

On the server command window, just press CTRL C to close the server app. When it prompts you if you really want to stop it, just press Y.
