Camera wont stop Spinning

Hello,
As the title says, the problem is that, on starting the game (even in the character select screen) the camera will rotate, fixed looking up at the sky. This *could* be an issue on my end, as I am not very experienced with using steam or the various controller settings available, but I cannot seem to find a solution so I am posting this in the hope finding a fix.
It's important to note that I was able to play the game with friends online for about 2 hours using a controller, with no problems at all. However, after restarting my PC to install an update, the above problem occurred.

I have tried the following things:
• Restarting my PC
• Restarting the Controller (with the tiny pinhole)
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
• Trying a multitude different configurations in the steam controller page
• Increasing the size of the deadzones on the joysticks in the steam settings

Information that might help:
• I am using a PS5 controller, plugged into my surface pro via usb
• Unchecking the "Gamepad support" box in the settings would cause the camera to
stop spinning (but also made the controller not work)
• Using the controller as a keyboard mouse configuration (left joystick is wasd, right is
cursor) did not trigger the effect (but this was not as nice as having the controller
work like it originally did)
• The effect did not occur when pairing the controller as bluetooth, but the controller
did not work in game when used via bluetooth (inputs registered on the PC,
though)
• Swiping in the opposite direction of the camera rotation on my mouspad
temporarily stops the rotation
•Unplugging/disabling my mouspad did not stop it from rotating (so it is not my
mouse)

Thanks for your time. I know that controller is not fully supported yet but I was having a good time when it worked and it was very frustrating not to find a solution after putting in all this time. Again, I am not very familiar with how all the steam controller settings work, so there could be a simple fix. I am happy to do anything mentioned above again, if it helps. I'm having the same problem on PC. It appears to be a conflict with my Thrustmaster warthog throttle. It is taking the switches and axes and using them like a controller. If I disable the controller then I can sort of use the keyboard but I cannot rebind any keys as even with the controller disabled, it is injecting keypresses into the settings. I'll keep the game as it looks like it will turn out to be amazing but I'd like to be able to disable any usb controllers properly. I'm not prepared to unplug my HOTAS just to play this.

Same spinning issue here also, played in single player and multiplayer, longest session before spinning around occurs is about 2 hours, then the only way to stop is to disable the game pad via in game settings restart the game and load up the world then re-enable the game pad support and play, sometimes it spins straight away sometimes I get 5 mins sometimes longer very intermittent. Really enjoying the game but I play on my TV in the front room so game pad is my only option so hoping this is fixed soon.

Tried PS4, PS5, Xbox One & PC Controllers all the same results.

The only way around this for now is to disable game pad in game settings and use a community game map that maps keyboard inputs to game pad but very difficult to play using this as it doesn't work the same as with in game game pad support enabled.

I will try a few more things including the temporary fix that TheFuriator mentions and let you know if I find anything that works

I am having same issues in my sim rig setup. I have tried several different things to has anyone tried to use joytokey asking out of curiosity before i try. Thanks

I have used joytokey mapping using the steam community but was very difficult to play as right stick was mouse whilst in the menus so when dropping items or navigating the in game inventory screen found it difficult to control.

I am now on in game day 42, yesterday I managed 8 hours with it happening only twice but this evening I had lots of problems, discovered its the keyboard and controller conflicting so tried unplugging my keyboard whilst playing and didn't get the issue might have just been been lucky I keep unplugging the keyboard and see how it goes, hopefully will be fixed soon as there are lots of people reporting the issue.

UPDATE: No, it started spinning even with the keyboard unplugged, just have to keep restarting the game when it does it I suppose, bit annoying when your off on a hunt away from your base or in a battle, but this game just makes me want to keep coming back for more despite these issues, which I have faith will be resolved.
