Disappearing food

so every time i cook the tails and take them off the fire and pick them up. they are not in my inventory. i thought they were being converted to cooked meat so i started taking stock before picking them up only to find nothing added.

+1 I am having the same issue with deer meat. I cook it, take it off the station and it doesn't show up. Boar meat works fine, even though its the same icon.

I did notice this after cooking. I'm like, dude. I went out and got lots of meat from deer, boar, and Necks, I've got two fires and two cooking racks and cook port and starboard. I then pluck the meat from my racks and it seemed strange I couldn't find what I just cooked.

Incidentally, be always 100% sure the food isn't dropping near your feet, this has been happening to me every time I cook. I'm always having to pick food up off the ground along with bits of coal.

And I do have slots for the food. I have incomplete stacks to fill and some empty slots in my inventory but food seems glitchy.
