Golems
At some point, a while ago actually the amount of golems on mountains become noticeably big. At first a though that I'm just that unlucky but now I am sure that it is not luck. There are to meany of them spawning on mountains. Before there was 2 mb 3 golems per big mountain and it was a terrifying encounter now I had 2 of them spawn at once and other one just mb 100 meters down the slope and I have barely entered location. Now they are just annoying... :-/

This is unfortunately true. Once I even had to fight three at the same time at moders summoning altar.

I had to prep the whole area with campfires to make them stop spawning nonstop. Super annoying and anti fun.

Golem spawn points are near silver veins and abandoned cabins. On large mountains you can have multiple silver deposits quite close (2 are quite common. I've had as many as 6 in one location)

Each silver vein can support a golem spawn point (even after they are mined out) and you can get multiple golems spawning at the same time in these areas. You can place base items that suppress spawns, you can use the pick and knowledge of the spawning mechanics to prevent spawns, or you can dig pits, let the golems spawn, and drag them into the pits and leave them there so that spawn point can't spawn more golems.

i remember the good old times when you didnt had to fight a greydwarf every half second because they were not chainspawning so much (still had to do it a lot, but not THIS much) as well as greylings in meadows.

They just decided to annoy as much as possible the player in every biome, increasing the spawns rates of everything. This is the main reason i stopped play this game.

Why not just make the cliff steeper so the golem can't get to Moder's spot? A golem is a permanent feature above my one cabin in the mountains . Since he can't get to me, he is just background noise.

I must have gotten lucky then. I didn't find a single golem until after I had beaten moder. I was well into mistlands when I read that golems are immune to the frost staff, but since it doesnt read "immune" and just says 0 dmg, you still get skill from hitting em with it. So I started exploring mountains and it wasn't till my 6th that I finally found ONE. Dragged that bastard all the way down to a meadows and dropped it in a hole. Farmed 80 skillups to elemental magic outta him.

Found PLENTY of wolves tho. And more than enough 2 stars to get my farm going.

There was literally no time to do this. Once I arrived at the spot they all immediately spawned and chased me around though in the end and with the help of some potions I managed to beat them but it was a tough fight.

Ah! I thought it was whilst fighting Moder. At least now you know about them and can prepare.

Workarounds and tricks are fun to perform on special occasions (which this mobs are should be - they are mini boss like mob of the location) but when you need to do that every 100-200 meters...no thanks, that is a waste of time and not fun.

The thing I didn't mention which also solves the problem is spawning them all, using your bonemass power, and killing them all for the drops. I like to use the crystal for windows. If you do that you have 3 game days before they can respawn.

Not so sure about that one tbh. When I was trying to fight moder they kept spawning nonstop until I had littered fireplaces all over the area around the altar. The moment I killed one he respawned again somewhere nearby.

You can harpoon those and drag in a small hole you mined

This actually seems to best way to deal with them. Same as with greylings ect. Once they are in the hole they can´t get back out and new ones won´t spawn as long as they live. Solved problem and more elegant than spamming fireplaces.

If you were using mods you likely had a mod conflict. If your play through is pure vanilla you may have experienced a bug.

Spawning mechanics are supposed to prevent what you are describing
https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/Spawning_mechanics

You'll have to click and read each link but you'll get the idea. If you have come across a bug you should report it.

Hmm ok. I´m playing Vanilla so it might have been a bug though it was over a year ago so no point in reporting it anymore. I´ll see if something similar happens again in my current run and in case it does I´ll report it.
