Taming Fenrings Question

How do you tame these if they vanish when daylight comes? I'd like to tame one but I'm not having luck yet. Anyone have a technique? Trying to put in the work rather than just using admin commands. On a single player game in case that info is needed.

But in the case of wolves (since starred wolves only spawn at night and disappear during the day), if you start the taming process at night they won't despawn during the day.

You can keep them from despawning during the day even if they havent started taming yet if you stay close to them so they stay aggro on you. Reminder- make sure you're carrying neck, boar or deer meat to tame them with. I dont actually know if they will eat sea serpent meat or not. Does anyone know offhand?

For wolves its Boar meat, Deer meat, Lox meat, Neck tail, Raw fish or Sausages. They won't eat cooked meat except for sausages.
