“We don’t know. We’re currently working on our seventh biome, the Ashlands, and after that we have one more to complete (the Deep North) before we’ll consider the game to be version 1.0. It’s a pretty safe bet to say that Valheim will be in active development for at least another two years (counting from January 2023). Aside from the large biome updates, we also want to add smaller updates to fill out the game.”"
Seems to have production issues imo.
Stuff happens. We get to play it while it does. Some people quite like that.
Roughly 21k right now. Seems to be roughly 20k-35k depending on what day it is.
For a game that has been unfinished for years, and still has years to go, that's incredibly healthy.
Somewhere between now and then.
Thorin :)
Subnautica was in early access for 4 years
Haven't followed any other EA projects that closely, but going off of those two and statements from various game devs over the years that most projects take about 5 years I'd say we're about 3 years from Deep North which will probably be the last biome before 1.0. If the devs continue to alternate big content patches with full biome releases we'll also get 1 more Hearth & Home / Mountain Caves / Hildir-style patch on the way.
