If you take your time, slowly gearing every existent level, then yeah.

Valheim is a easy game. You can play singleplayer, you can win singleplayer. The only problem FOR ME Its feeling lonely. I wish the world would be a little bit more alive or we had something better for companions than just wolves.

I would love to have an updated mod to have a really WEAK companion and slowly helping it to level up. Sadly, they are always overpowered and so far, outdated. Would love to have it more for company than it carrying the game.

Edit: Just realized if Valheim had some kind of Conan Exiles mechanic, to enslave a creature and have it by my side, would be quite interesting. With plenty of limitations, of course, to make it under powered. Like enslaving a Greyling in early game to help you out, be at your side, command it in combat or resources management. *just having some fun with my imagination*.

Definitely, Valheim is only hard to progress, ultimately game is relatively easy solo. It will only take a bit more time to "hit trees" and getting your corpse from difficult situation ;).

Overall the game is designed to be played in small groups. It shines there. But there is no player synergy mechanics that would be not avilable for solo. You get the full, albeit lonely experiance.

Its a game mainly about preparation.

If you are prepared well, you'll beat it.

Take your time, don't rush.

I have two solo chars and its not that bad. Just a lot of sailing and staying on top of potions and picking your fights.

I'm puzzled. Is storyline finished already? So I can "win" it...

I'm playing solo because I can't seem to get the hubby interested in joining me. It's good fun. As others have said, be prepared. Take things slowly. It's ok to run away to live to fight another day. :)

Do better than Ulf?

Ulf made it to Mistlands, Odin only knows how. Do better than Astrid. It took her seven years to get to the mountains.

No, no, no, no, no. Ulf kept finding nothing but misery and things kicking him out to the higher biomes. Astrid took her time and prepared, venturing more-or-less on her own terms!

I have 600 hours and have conquered the Mistlands and all the bosses completely solo. I played heaviest armors, sword and board, secondary weapons as bow/aoe hammer in Mistlands. I have a pretty nice main base and secondary teleport bases all over the world. I have recently started a new solo playthrough with a hammer ategir build. It's definitely grindy, but I like to explore and grind and take my time. I found the most important things were in this order: Food, combat skills (parry/dodge etc), mead and buffs, relatively close by teleport if you get killed. Having nice farms for food / crops is a must. Also getting tamed two star wolfs to guard your home base, they will breed like rabbits and ravage anything that comes to raid you. Thats always fun to watch. =) No best way to play but certainly a great solo challenge. I honestly just spent a lot of time building and exploring. Like everyone above said, take your time, explore and hone your skills and you will be able to crush most everything with ease by end of the Mistlands. Enjoy. Its an amazing game.

Honestly its primarily a single player game imho. Unless you have really cool friends who are enthusiastic about the game. Just remember that the hoe is your mightiest weapon and use it to help you kill bosses
