Where in my post did i state "One does simply..."? i am just saying though, would look great. :3
i really don't think it will be ten years but i mean it will probably be like 6. But still, the current filesize of the game itself would be a super good time to port it over while there are still very few assets compared to what there will be. current 0.2. if they were at like 0.7 like satisfactory was that would be an ever project. I'm super sure they had many coffee stains while importing ALLLLLLLL of those assets.
Valheim is in Unity, not Unreal Engine. Two completely different engines by two different companies.
For Valheim to be done in Unreal Engine 5, the devs would have to completely relearn how to design and develop in a completely new engine and completely rebuild the game in it.
In the mean time, they'd then have to stop development of the current game putting it thus in maintenance mode for players with things undone.
We're talking thus years even coming onto the cusp of Unreal Engine 6 release by the time they'd complete the game.
Therefore your wants dont exactly match the reality of the situation.
Valheim running in UE6 at release confirmed! Yesssss! :-)
The fastest car ever build used jet engines.
Why is Ford not building all their cars with jet engines?
Please, at least try to understand the very basics of the matter at hand before making a suggestion like this.
This was pretty direct and provides a good understanding of why and makes sense.
... also, valheim's fps optimization especially around base is horribad, i can only imagine they will make it worse for UE5 if they ever did that- not to mention that it will kill of any modding people have made progress until now.
Next time you need some extra money, take a part time job doing tech support muhahaha.
^ This, in one sentence, conveys perfectly a somewhat longer post I was sitting on...
