honestly, i think the entitled modders should have their gaming privileges revoked the way they act as if they're more important than the rest of us.
fun fact, the devs don't care about your mods because they aren't their responsibility.
what is their responsibility, is the cross play port they are currently working on, and that is WAY more important than your mods because the entire xbox playerbase is vastly bigger than the pc modder player base.
get OVER yourselves.
Always keep this game updated
Only update this game when I launch it
High priority - Always auto-update this game before others
lol... why do we even need options.. just update as soon as possible
Modding
If I use mods, will I be able to play when the game updates?
Every time we update the game, many mods that players use become incompatible with the game. Until your mods have been updated by their creators they will most likely not work with Valheim. To make sure you don't lose anything, it's a good idea to backup your worlds and characters [C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim] where mods are used before downloading new updates. In order to be certain that you can play larger updates right away, you should also have your mods (temporarily) removed!
I totally get that. The problem is that updating on steam has now become mandatory. Without additional beta options to choose from, it prevents players from staying on the version that works for them (at least until mod devs update). It's not a lot to ask for the devs to be mindful of that and provide an option for those of us that enjoy a modded game.
A lot of people have busy lives and don't have time for the full grind of vanilla valheim but, still want the opportunity to experience the game together. Myself and my son being a case in point. As well as other friends of mine who play the game.
all of you saying steam forced this are out of your minds, i had to click on update to update it.
and if i wanted too, i could simply click on the betas tab to play with the outdated mods that were broken by the update, JUST AS THE MODERATOR HAS SAID.
First get Val+ Fix https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/2323
Next BepInEx https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/denikson/BepInExPack_Valheim/
Heading to bed but testing those 2 out for 15-20 mins with the game on fully updated branch and stuff seemed ok. I don't use most of V+ options though.
