how do i raise the workbench level?

I destroyed the desk and put it against the opposite wall. But now he's only level 1 and I can't level him up in any way. How to do it?

Crafting stations are upgraded by having certain upgrade structures within range of them. For the workbench, your first upgrades are the chopping block and tanning rack.

You need to build a couple add ons, such as the tanning rack.

You have to have the addons moved closer, they have a range limit.

Its easy to raise your workbenchs' level- first you add a second floor to your base and then.... *Runs away* :P
