Missed opportunity with items
For the record. I am enjoying ashlands.

I just believe there should have been:

1; new wood cutting axe and pickaxe with the new metal. Still on blackmetal and it's time for an upgrade.

2: would be been perfect for a new fire lighting system that acts like normal torches / braziers but are infinite and don't need fuel. (I like the look of fire more than the lanterns)

3: the new magic staves are underpowered. Mistland staves do more damage over all. But are still a bit underpowered to the new creatures.

4; mount armor. The new askvins are cool. But I just spent half an hour taming one. Put a saddle. And barely made it home cause 3-4 spawned charred killed it in a few hits. They feel very underpowered and wasted 30 mins to tame one.

Berserkir Axes are great for wood cutting, a new pickaxe would've been great tho.

This has been an issue for quite a long time imo. Lanterns aren't very bright and if you want to light a big base with torches you kinda need a greydwarf farm. The new lava lamp is decent, but I'd prefer something that's more fitting.

The nature staff is amazing, not sure why people don't like it. Same goes for drundr.
Can't say much about the other 2 new staffs because I've barely used them.
Mistlands staffs are definitely not underpowered for the ashlands, using the frost staff is basically playing on easy mode.

just for the record we actually got a new pickaxe. the siege ram does pickaxe dmg. just an entire new tier of it. its less practical to be used overall but its dmg is off the charts.

and the new dual axes are better at wood cutting than any other axe in the game due to thier silly attackspeed.

i do agree that a final tier of pickaxe made at the black forge would have been nice just so we dont need a level 2 forge just to repair the bm pick.

sadly i dont think we will get a new pickaxe anymore as we dont even know if deep north will contain metal mineing anymore given its kind of obsolete to exist now with the new portal they can aswell make regular materials instead.

plus the siege ram is teleportable aswell so we kind of have a better pickaxe which doesnt break at all when mineing.

try the ram on a marble skull or a giant rock. what what happens to it. so the regular pickaxe will see alot less use in generel aside ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ iron in crypts of course but that is already oneshot piece wise by the current pickaxe to begin with.

so the main use of the pick is now terrian shapeing. and well some flametal i guess but these pillars will eventually run out on everyones world as there simply isnt as many of them as other metal sources which is why its hardly used in building to begin with.
