You favorite food combos
My absolute favorite (I haven't done mountains or plains yet so idk), is lox meat, queens jam, and honey.

Good buff to hp and stamina imo

Bread, Sausage and wolf jerky.
Bread is amazing stamina food.
Sausage because I have so many entrails.
Wolf jerky is easy to make and long lasting balanced food.

Lox meat pies.
Wolf Jerky.
Sausage.
If needing stamina boost I use bread in placed of Sausage.

Depends on where I go. I try to use food that is just the top or one step ahead of the biome I'm about to explore. But my best is lox pie, wolf skewer (or sausage) and bread.

In the plains I usually run Lox meat pie, fish wrap, and bread.

If I'm planting in my large base I run bread, eye scream, and onion soup.

serpent stew, bread and eyescream when it's life or death. in more casual times its wolf skewers, onion soup and turnip stew. I have a great area for hunting serpents and I usually get one or two per night when I hunt.

What i seem to rely on most throughout the game is, sausages, turnip stew and.... whatever i have a lot of meat for, mostly deer stew or wolf skewers. Why not bread or lox pie?, too late game, i use them when i can but it's hardly needed.

For when I'm poor: Sausages + wolf jerky + cloudberries/glowing mushrooms
For when I'm rich: Lox meat pie, bread, onion soup

I have 2 diets : when im out of my base and when im doing farm thing in and close the base
Out of the base :
Leather age : cooked boar and deer meat , honey
Bronze age : deer stew , minced meat sauce OR cooked fish and carrot soap
Iron age : sausage , black soup and turnip stew ( best stamina food until plains )
Silver age : wolf jearkey , serpent stew ( if you can effor ) or sausage and turnip stew , i dont use eyescream because i lost some hp regeneration from turnip stew
Plains : serpent stew , lox pie and blood puding

Farming or doing things in base :
Leather age : raspberry , honey and red mushroom
Bronze age : carrot soup , honey and queens jam
Iron age : turnip stew , carrot soup and queens jam
Silver age : carrot soup , turnip stew and onion soup
Plains : bread , turnip stew and onion soup

Bread, Blood Pudding, Serpent Stew when doing things that need stamina.
Bread, Fish Wrap, Serpent Stew when I need more health.

I find I often use Lox Meat Pie and Fish Wrap in the same slot depending on ingredient availability.

For bosses: Health-Health-Stamina, with the best food possible you can make
For adventuring: Health-Both-Stam, the highest level jerky and stew you can make. with some meat. Then you are eating fairly cheaply.

My favorite, bargain-bin combo is cooked deer/boar/neck + boar jerky + honey. I don't recommend it for boss fights, the plains, or anything like that, but once you've got some beehives it's ridiculously cheap for how balanced and reliable it is. A jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none combo perfect for frugal individuals trying to kick the bad habit of running around with an empty stomach.

When I need better food, I still typically use the health + jerky + stamina combo, including wolf jerky once it's available.
