I literally filter randoms in my world. You spawn into a death trap of spikes, shielded, in a caged area. The only portal in front leads to an elevated iron caged area with 2 lightning blasters above used for execution. You get job assignments in my world, not free resources haha
that is bloody fantastic
there is a whole other thread for this
please check out the Looking For Group sub-forum here on Steam or the servers-and-lfg channel on the Discord.
Have a good day!
This is not an MMO... It is a game based on SOLO or CO-OP with Friends.
Each time a player creates a world, that world is automatically locked (SOLO), and if that player wants to invite other people to join that world, they must create a password and share that password with each person they invite.
There really is no open worlds for players to randomly join... This isn't that kind of game.
As mentioned, If you want to play with other people you can go to the "Looking for Group" sub-forum (to the right of this main forum) and / or get on the official Discord to find thousands of other players who want to play with other people.
Agree. They still could. But they need better in-game security measures. Like incoming players have the ability to use items, workbenches, buildings, etc… but can’t destroy stuff, or deconstruct things unless given permission by the server owner. Also that items made by others cannot be removed from the server.
So the random griefer just uses a hoe and raises the ground, or pickaxe and lowers, fouling up existing constructions; or maybe picks up other players items and drops them in the ocean; or aggro's a Troll to bust stuff up; or...
I'm not a griefer, don't see the point, but thinking greifers aren't smart and can't find a way around just about any protection you can put in... well.. that's not smart.
