Valheim

2025 roadmap
Is there a roadmap for Valheim 2025 or some sort of direction the developers are headed?

many other games out there, occupy your self with those whilst you wait for this one to finish
Well said. It's a great EA success nearing its finish line. Took longer than any anticipated, but we've got a better and more fleshed out product in the end. For €15-20, it's one of the best bargains on Steam.

Game's getting end game contents, because that's the crowd devs think are best served... at least they're the loudest.

Which is stupid because if they want sales, they need NEW players. And you get new players by improving new player experience, squishing bugs and making UI better etc. boring stuff that older fans don't want.

It's story as old as time. So expect 1.0 to include end game contents, then we'll be getting few bug updates and then either end game content DLC or something...

I've bad taste in my mouth that Valheim's gonna get the same treatment as 99% of games.

We'll see.

They havent followed any of their own road map. Its almost done, but it will probably be the end of this year if not 2026 before its really done
Theres a reason 5 out of 6 million players quit playing

Patience Grasshopper! It will come and be worth the wait. Ever stare at a blade of grass and watch how it interacts with the environment? I can picture the developers lying in a field doing that! But that's how much they care about the world they're creating for us! It may be their dream, their "baby". And we got share it all with them. Watching it grow is amazing. Don't want to make mistakes. Got to get it right the first time. It's all on them, and how we all react to it is important. But if you're patient, it will be worth the wait!! Has been so far, hmm? Hmm, have I mentioned we need "spawn Pickable_SeedFlax" lately? Gawd I love Devcommands!

Noone complains about the times it takes a game to be developed in early access if it is actually being developed but you can´t tell me that these devs are actively working on this game. No way. I have seen single devs do more, much more.

My experience differs from yours by a large margin. I play with several folks who also share my experience. Not everything is perfect - but no game is.

Seems you hang out in a place you don't like.

If I didn't like a nearby restaurant, I'd probably choose to go to another one instead, /shrug.

Nah, this game is the poster child for getting too much money up front and essentially doing token updates. Despite all the money, they didn't even _kind_ of follow their original roadmap (They did more work _before_ they got the money). They sure aren't going to produce another one that people can point at and laugh. Remember, this game came out in 2021 and made a TON of money. It's why I no longer support EA - it's simply become common place to never leave EA so you can keep saying the game is 'in progress' when you never finish it. It didn't use to be like this. Yeah, valheim holds a special place in my heart when it comes to EA. Never again. Enjoy!
well I tend to agree, but I don't think it's written in stone.
Larian can def make EA as much as they want, they always deliver and keep delievering after the fact.
also enshrouded is delievering very fine so far.
