Smelting

Hi,I am a new player.I constructed a smelter.When i try to smelt copper+tin this happens:- Smelter says add ore,So i put in 10 copper ore.Now it says full,so how do i add coal to smelt?2nd try says add coal, keeps saying this till i add 20 coal.Than says full.So how do i add copper,or tin?What do i need to do?

add the coal on the other side of the smelter, copper on the other. There is holes on both sides. Ore goes to left, coal to right side.

waqit some time to proceed, than add other or mixed ore to smelt...
best thing is to make smelter full and go to sleep
