So there is definitely a mod out there. it will probably be faster to search it yourself than wait here for someone who used it to respond.
Thunderstore and Nexusmods are two main web pages for Valheim mods, so try your luck there.
And have fun exploring Valheim world without the map. It can be really challenging, but also very fun and rewarding.
I had a great time in my no-map runs.
Yes, they're static no matter what. From what I understand about no map/no portal runs it's recommended to use Ygg's branches as a guide post, at the very least.

Our last co-op playthrough was a no map run too.
Until Mistlands, immersive mode is the most fun game mode of Valheim for me.
Unfortunately, it will be very tedious after the Plains. Somehow fun turns to struggle.
In general, I can highly recommend "Nomap Printer" which is basically just a mod for "drawing a map (ground plan)" in-game on your cartography table, which you can view as image by pressing the map hotkey. You do NOT see where you are on the map and it has no live update. You always need to draw it at home on your cartography table. It's like drawing a outline/sketch by hand on a piece of paper while playing (we have done this during our first no map runs), just in-game. Very immersive.
I had the opposite experience.
My group really enjoyed Mistlands with no map. We didn’t even defeat Yagluth so we didn’t use wisp at all. We used standing torches and campfires to mark our way. We used clear areas as a highway and dived into the mist only when we saw the blue glow. Yeah, it took a lot of time to find everything we needed, but we enjoyed it. We even found the Queen without a wisp light.
But i guess it wouldn’t be fun at all if i did it solo. It’s always better and more fun in a group.
