Hi, I am a new player.With 49 wood in inventory+hammer equipped,right click shows me furniture tab,However in this tab the only thing showing for craft is hammer,no workbench.What am i doing wrong?

Workbench is not furniture. Choose the crafting tab.

the workbench is in the crafting section of the hammer menus, anytime you unlock a new crafting station such as the cooking pot or forge, it will appear here, along with any workstations that will upgrade the level of the workstations.

Also the workbench will offer more things once it has walls and a roof. The game will tell you that but only after you made it without them, so you can plan ahead...

Furniture tab contains things you can put in the house to improve it
Building tab contains wooden construction pieces
Heavy building contains stone construction pieces
Crafting tab contains all the different crafting stations and their upgrades
Misc tab contains everything that doesn't fit in the other categories
