Harpoon?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the whole reason for inventing a harpoon was to be able to reel something in after impaling it with a big stick.

So today I was chasing rabbits and getting annoyed as they jumped into the water (and always wound up too deep to loot) so I had one of those epiphany things to use the harpoon on the rabbits instead.

After a few throws I connected with the rabbit, and then I hauled it onto the shore by walking backwards....and then I was like um, now what? It is still far enough away the moment I switch weapons it runs off again.

Then I realized there is no way to reel in the harpoon.....really?

No reely :)

Just dig a pit and drag stuff into it
i found it of use exclusively to drag serpents on shore and get the sinking drops, even too uncomfortable and damaging for moving tamed boars in my experience, went back to pushing them in pens

Well even with serpents they are a complete pain because you have to be able to run a half mile onto shore to pull them up.

Yup, also after fully upgrading the serpent shield (wich i almost never used) there's no use in beaching serpents anymore

Unfortunately Serpent Heads make the common fish bait for the ocean fish......
...yet another bright idea that kills the fishing desire.

Yeh, at least tunas and coral cod aren't needed for any specific craft, fishing hat apart, insanely hard to get considered the overall game fishing needs

Don't get me wrong, I avoid fishing like the plague - but considering when you potentially get access to it, Serpents Stew is amazing for health based stats, it holds up until you start getting access to Mistlands ingredients which beat it only on tick count.

Totally agree, it's my favourite food and i still go hunting for serpents, point is i don't need to lure/drag them near dry land anymore since the meat is the only serpent drop that floats, very less difficult and time consuming.. sorry, i said "beaching" but maybe it isn't even a real word in english
