Stone golem help

I have no idea how to deal with stone golems. There is atleast one stone golem at each one of my silver veins I use for mining silver. What is some advice for how to deal with these stupid stone golems?

Go into the pit and pickaxe the wall it's pushing against to get close to you. One or two well placed hits tend to be enough to get it down but prepare to get out fast, you don't wanna get stuck there.

Uhm yes, You need a harpoon, for which you need to hunt and kill a serpent, which is why I thought the suggestion not a wise one for someone not far into the game.

Golems are extremely, EXTREMELY, easy if you follow these 3 steps.
1. Bonemass buff.
2. Use a pickaxe, they are weak to pickaxe.
3. Health food. Health food + Bonemass + Pickaxe = fight 2 golems at the same time easily.

Well I actually easily killed one of the variants (the slap attack variant) with a pickaxe. And I trapped the smash attack variant. (Both spawned at the Moder alter). But now there is a third one at the alter. But I’ll ask if I need help.
