planting berries and mushrooms

how is it players are planting berries and mushrooms i cant plant them any help

You can't plant berries and red/yellow mushrooms without using dev commands. (ie: they aren't playing vanilla or are using mods).

Nope. But the berries and mushrooms respawn in the exact same places every time ~ every 3 game days. If you mark spots on your map that have clusters you can just run back to them whenever you need berries. Cloud berries are easy to find. There are all most no trees in the plains so its hard to miss berry patches and they seem to be thicker too.

Berries respawn after 300 minutes. Realtime.

only blue is hard. Red has old farms with orderly clusters that you can set up a base near if you want them badly enough. Cloud has giant clusters you can make into a farm or just mark the location. But blue is scattered in the wild and finding a large group is harder.
it is also quite common to find 10 or so red shrooms in one small area, just a little bit of scouting should reveal 2 or 3 spots like that, and its enough for 1. Groups need to work together on those.

The "Plant Everything" mod lets you plant mushrooms and berries (and other stuff) if you're willing to use mods.

Devs already said they won’t be adding berry planting so if you aren’t going to mod then you’ll have to live with it.

There is no shameful behavior on the part of the developers. They have never stated any such thing, so they cannot be held accountable for something they never promised.

If you want this feature to be added, make a suggestion, although there is no guarantee they will add it.

indeed it does remove a large bit from game play being able to plant them i just alway pick them up everytime i go out exploring

They have most definitely stated that they don’t want to allow people to plant bushes so that you must explore and forage the meadows/forest/plains for them. It seems very unlikely that this is gonna change

Very simple mod will let you do it. The "Plant Everything" mod. I use it in my building/creative save.

But half the fun is going out to forage. You can mark particularly big groups of berries and mushrooms as they do "regrow" after a few game days so you can get back to them.
