Is there a mod that makes day/night time longer?
Please be so kind and post a link if you know of a mod that prolongs days, I´m going crazy here with these needlessly short days.

I don't care if 7DTD is in EA forever. I enjoy it more than nearly any other game on Steam that I have and will continue playing it. Just like many said I was an idiot to jump into No Man's Sky on release. That one has turned into a gem that I go back to regularly and has also been worth every penny.

But you can't change the day/night cycle in No Man's Sky...

Aw, c'mon, don't nitpick. The length of the day/night cycle in NMS is more than ample for my taste. YMMV. Besides, if I want daylight I can just fly to the other side of the planet or even to a different planet. It's always sunny somewhere. ;-)

In Valheim Plus you can change they times, you can download it from nexus mods or Thunderstore. I would recommend the last one, because there you can straight up change the config in the mod manager.

So, I downloaded and successfully installed Valheim plus. Watched a YouTube video....and still can't figure out how to adjust settings. can you give some insight please? Thanks

There should be a valheim_plus.cfg in the config directory, but I don't think you can change the day/night cycle.

The config file should look like this: https://github.com/valheimPlus/ValheimPlus/blob/development/valheim_plus.cfg

Currently there is no way to change day/night cycle, luckily you can build a bed anywhere you want and sleep the night away...

I just finished a mod for this called Longer Days. It allows to configure the speed of the day. Default is 50% slower. It is also server and multiplayer compatible.

He's not wrong about dev's being so stuborn and adding not the simplest of settings to their game.

Although i don't know any game where you can adjust the day-night cycle and why this is important. But that just me.

7 Days To Die, for one of many. There are a slew of user settings, including one to set the 24 hour period anywhere from 20 real time minutes to 2 hours. Night and day are equal in duration during that period and I prefer the 2 hour setting.
I'd love a 7 Days to Die day length slider in Valheim. Days feel way too short. I play with 2 hour length days in 7 Days as well.

The length of day and night is balanced around the duration of Rested buff (7 minutes + comfort value).

If you had a slider, you could just associate the slider with a percentile increase of the duration of the Rested buff. If you double day length, you double Rested buff duration. Easy peacy.. in practice.

Nobody said it would be difficult. But it would also have ramifications of making exploration too easy: You'd also need a slider (or several in fact) for world size, enemy respawns, dungeon generation depth, all stamina, health and eitr values, etc. Otherwise you might as well cheat and stop time entirely at your leisure.

Careful what you wish for. Nighttime is important if want to hunt things like wolves or try to get a 2 star wolf, or just want to hunt for mats.
