Hello, can you tell me in which section of the CFG Valheim_plus file can you configure the duration of the day and night??? I have reviewed several times and I don't see in which section... The only one that talks about day and night is:
[GameClock]
; Change false to true to enable this section. https://valheim.plus/documentation/list#GameClock
enabled = true
; Change time formatting from 24hr to AM-PM.
useAMPM = true
; Change font size of time text.
textFontSize = 34
; Change how red the time text is (51/255).
textRedChannel = 248
; Change how green the time text is (51/255).
textGreenChannel = 105
; Change how blue the time text is (51/255).
textBlueChannel = 0
; Change how transparent the time text is (255 is solid with no transparency).
textTransparencyChannel = 255
And that's it, so I would like to know where it is to also modify the duration of day and night in my game..
You are right, i just saw the GalemClock section and thought their you could change this. But i found this
https://www.nexusmods.com/valheim/mods/38
Eventually this works for you guys.
Sorry for wasting your time. I thought I could get back into the game but it feels like the game becomes more and more annoying to play with each update.
I just don´t hate my life enough to keep playing this.
Nevertheless, thanks for trying to help and have a nice day!
Wow...this is a first. People complain about all sorts of stuff, but quitting due to an unwillingness to install a simple mod to "fix" an issue that pretty much no one else has ever complained about...well, you do what makes you happiest. Good luck.
Then most of those mods are long outdated which is never a good sign and last but not least there are much more things that annoy me than just the time setting and I don´t feel like I want to install so many mods in this case. I rather ditch the game entirely and count it as a loss.
He's not wrong about dev's being so stuborn and adding not the simplest of settings to their game.
Although i don't know any game where you can adjust the day-night cycle and why this is important. But that just me.
7 Days To Die, for one of many. There are a slew of user settings, including one to set the 24 hour period anywhere from 20 real time minutes to 2 hours. Night and day are equal in duration during that period and I prefer the 2 hour setting. The freedom of selecting the settings I want is the reason 7DTD is the game I always return to when the others get boring.
And the short day/night cycle is the reason I refunded Valheim, though I periodically check back to see if they've gotten over their stubbornness about not giving players freedom to choose basic functions.
There are various games (like Conan Exiles), but I'm not sure if a game that has spent a decade in "early access" is a good example.
I don't care if 7DTD is in EA forever. I enjoy it more than nearly any other game on Steam that I have and will continue playing it. Just like many said I was an idiot to jump into No Man's Sky on release. That one has turned into a gem that I go back to regularly and has also been worth every penny.
But you can't change the day/night cycle in No Man's Sky...
So, I downloaded and successfully installed Valheim plus. Watched a YouTube video....and still can't figure out how to adjust settings. can you give some insight please? Thanks
edit: NVM, I just googled, Valheim is 21 minutes. What an oddball number.
