is there a way to save your buildings?

By that I mean do something like how in minecraft you can save individual chunks and transplant them to another world.

it would be nice to combine different creations into one singular world. of course some of them might not be even possible to move without everything looking awful like the long stairway i made on cliffside. Even getting entire islands would be fine too, those should be much less of a hassle to fit into another world since you could just put them to empty sea.

There's some mods out there that let you copy stuff.
I believe there even was one that lets you store buildings in a file and then import it to another world.

That would be the only way though, vanilla game doesn't have such functionality.
