I forgot to add that the only mods I have are plant everything and infinite torches. Otherwise its vanilla.

I have only launched myself with the feather cape, I assume its certain death with any others. I havent tried to be honest. lol.

Where the video starts is the highest mountain I've ever seen in this game. I have plans to build a tower on that flat spot but for now its a catapult XD

I'll certainly make the tower big enough to put the catapult on top. lol. Maybe I can get some more distance out of it.

Have you tried launching from a sky dungeon?

I had to look that up, lol. I dont ever use console so I didnt know those existed. I guess if you had a place to set up the catapult it would work. I dont think you can build in a dungeon without mods but you could with em. dont know if it would clip you out of the ceiling or not XD

Totally vanilla. setkey builddungeoun, or something like that. Just find a spot you can clip via chairs. Ive tried from morgen holes, we can fly from ashlands to deep north kill wall.

Ive tried clipping through burialgrounds but no luck yet, ill keep trying! That would be interesting XD In the video the distance from that mountain to my city is roughly 1/5th of the map. It could totally be a viable form of transportation on a no portal server but only in the late game. Gotta have elevation tho. Once you tilt it up high enough you gain height and lose velocity. the velocity is key.

One time I tried to use this as an alternative to the Drakkar to get to the Ashlands. So I went to the southermost high mountain I could find, raised terrain on the peak, built a platform up there end yeeted myself southwards....

Turned out it worked a bit too good. Flew across the ashlands in no time and fell off the world in the south....

did you know that you can use the "sprint" button when flying to go farther? It does still use stamina.

LOL so it seems like there is actually fast travel in Valheim.
The Feather Fall effect is a lot of fun.

It makes travel fun in the Mountains and Mistlands.

I run the EpicLoot mod that randomly puts this effect on some armour items.

The Feather Cape's increased fire damage scares me. Do you die a lot in Mistlands from fire damage when wearing the Feather Cape?

It´s not that bad as long as you have fire resistance mead.

Or a fire staff. It's surprising the amount of NPCs that dish it out but panic when a little fire comes back at them :)
Not yucking it up now are you you little pointy-eared git and you, you bloated great eggsack thing you.

I wonder what the Viking does to create thrust... but maybe that's why we have so many stamina foods with onions.
