If you mean defeating all the bosses, well like most survival/building games you can explore or build.
There are three biomes which currently exist only as place holders (Mistlands, Ashlands and the Deep North) and another, the Ocean, which may undergo major changes. The three place holders will each contain a boss, which a viking must defeat to finish the game.
As far as I know, Iron Gate Studio has not indicated if defeating the final boss and securing Valheim for Odin will result in a cut scene and a reassignment to Valhalla.
If you mean to ask "Can you continue playing after defeating all the current bosses?" the answer is yes. One might prefer to take a break pending the release of the next complete biome. I will probably continue playing to maximize my equipment and skills. Perhaps even to build a really elaborate base or some outposts closer to one or more of the placeholder biomes.
Short answer: Yes.
You died in battle, but you were not worth enough to get to Valhalla and not bad enough to be rejected, so you are send to (fictional, made by devs) 10th world of Yggdrasil called Valheim, where you need to prove your strength to Odin by surviving and defeating his powerful minions (bosses). Also sometimes you can see Odin on your own watching you from a distance (black hooded man with a staff).
Asgard – Realm of the Aesir
Alfheim – Realm of the Bright Elves
Jotunheim – Realm of the Giants
Midgard – Realm of the Humans
Muspelheim/Muspell – A fire-giant or the forces of chaos or their realm
Nidavellir – Realm of the Dwarves
Niflheim – Realm of Ice and Mist possibly with lower realm of Niflhel
Svartalfheim – Realm of the Black Elves
Vanaheim – Realm of the Vanir
The gods have turned their backs on Valheim, and it has become besieged by powerful beasts that even Odin is fearful of. It is players' duty to tame this primordial purgatory and turn it into paradise akin to Valhalla. That will involve carving out mountains to build mead halls, traveling to snowy peaks to harvest arcane materials, and slaying mythical creatures. It's a straightforward mission with countless ways to approach it.
thats the story.. The end... :D
