Taking insane amounts of damage when parrying/blocking
Greetings.

so me and two friends play together and at some point there would be a draugr archer with two stars that would hit me through my block for 80 damage and kill me if I have not eaten anything. Also even if I parry them I always take damage.

Is this a bug or ?

A round iron shield blocks for 54 and parry for 81 , you can only parry them with a iron buckler that blocks for 100 at parry ( not blocking )
But Since H&H update devs adds another thing in that system : a stagger bar that deppends on your max hp , so even if you have a good shield to parry a huge hit , they will break you guard because your stagger bar was breaked

First, the swamp is dangerous early on. Always eat before you go anywhere near it.
Second, two star draugr archers are also incredibly dangerous if you're trying to parry it with the basic wooden shield. No, this isn't a bug. They really do hit like a truck.

Upgrade or replace your gear and be smarter with your approach to the swamp.

I'm trying to block/parry it with the ironbound shield but it almost one shots me through it as well.

Block is calculated based on damage dealt, a 2 star Draugr archer hits like a truck, and block is also using your HP, so if you are not at top hp when you block a 2 * yeah it will hurt like heck.
I suggest not tanking the archers or range stuff, just los kite them and take the melee out, then murder the range.

To tank and block, you need high HP AND a good tower.

Purple Draugr and Bronze Fulings are both deadly ranged adversaries.

Can I ask how parry works for a bronze ategir polearm here. or should I start a new thread? It has parry and that knocks back as well vs graydrawves. Will it also become limited as enemies do more damage?
