Stamina nerf with new patch? (= solo player nerf?) - Edit: HARPOON NERF NEEDS ROLL BACK
I play mostly solo. I dragged sea serpents inland. I climbed near to vertical mountain slopes. I took out fuling villages single-handed. I soloed all bosses. It needed rested boost, eventually a potion and at least medium food (super food for fulings). But using the right tactics I was always successful. I did not use cheats or cheesy methods.
After the last patch I noticed that I quickly run out of stamina when dragging, climbing, fighting - although I have started to use super-food also for those actions where I had used medium in the past. I died from a fall on a steep mountain slope and was not able to retrive my corpse when starting from the mountain foot - though I had climbed that same mountain successfully in the past. I had to give up on a sea-serpent which escaped once too often. I died due to lack of stamina fighting against two fulings which is a fight scenario I had managed successfully before.
My friend who is also playing solo noticed the faster stamina loss too ...
But there are no posts around adressing this (searched Reddit too plus used Google). Are we the only two players who noticed it (we cannot be the only two who were affected) ?
Because if it is true this means a massive nerf for solo play. As a solo player you are much more dependent on proper stamina management since there is never a backup if you get into troubles and your stamina fails. If keeping a minimum of stamina is not possible anymore in the above situations parts of Solo-Valheim game-play become extremely difficult to impossible to manage.

Edit:
DEVS PLEASE FIND A SOLUTION FOR THE HARPOON FOR SOLO PLAYERS (like a stamina boost or less stamina drainage by the harpoon when no other player is nearby).
HONEST SERIOUS SOLO PLAYERS SHOULD NOT BE PUT AT A GRAVE DISADVANTAGE BECAUSE MISUSE OF THE HARPOON BY OTHER PLAYERS NEEDED FIXING.

How do you use a harpoon solo?
When you take the steering wheel the harpoon STAYS CONNECTED to whatever you harpooned.
So find a serpent that is not too far from a save and if possible not too steep shore, leave steering wheel, harpoon serpent, get back to steering wheel and sail to shore (longboat can stand several attacks from the harpooned serpent), jump from boat onto hard ground (deeper water will disconnect the harpoon like it disarms any other weapon), drag serpent inland, release serpent and hack at it with a good weapon. If it slides back into the water (which it will try to do and that is the reason you first drag it inland) harpoon again and repeat ...
Just look on YT for "sea serpent solo" - good demo videos are easy to find.
If you want only the meat no need to use the harpoon. Just kill the serpent everywhere you want - best first set the steering to one extreme end so that the boat goes in a circle while you are away from steering then use the bow to kill the serpent.
These are my methods. Other suggestions are welcome!

Since the stamina nerf on the harpoon this is nearly impossible. I have tried and harpooned 4 serpents since the nerf and have not been able to drag a serpent to shore, using everything available up to the swamp biome. I have yet to kill Bonemass.

So here is one of the roots of the harpoon problem - alternate uses it was not designed for - and if the devs decide that they do not want some of those alternate uses they should restrict the targets that can be hit properly by the harpoon - not nerf the stamina ...

Might be situational but once the serpent has aggro'd me I sail to shore and it follows. It's not until I jump from the boat I harpoon it. Certainly, my ocean biome goes quite close to the shore which might allow this as I'm fairly sure if you have a large amount of shallow water covered by another biome the serpent will lose interest.

This is largely pointless though as I don't need scales or trophies per se.

The stamina tuning in this game needs help. We almost quit because it was truly unbearable to run 10 feet, swing a sword and get tired. So we installed Valheim+ to retune stamina to levels that made narrative sense. Since then yes, their 2 little updates we noticed we had to retune. Someone at Irongate is stamina tuning happy.

It really just sounds like you need to eat better food. With that your stamina lasts practically forever if you manage it even a little bit.

As for the serpent... Just range it? I mean just kill it with a bow in the water. The meat doesn't sink to the bottom. This is how I did it before I even had the harpoon.
