SPEAR NEEDS A DEDICATED SPOT OR...

a cool down 3-4 seconds or uses 1/2 your stamina bar while not leaving your inventory, or a toggle 1,2,3,etc. slot option, OR you could turn off auto loot while in combat & for 30 seconds-2 mins after.. its really lame/annoying to have to open inventory to drop an auto picked up item to requip and use your spear in the middle of combat.. especially when you getting trained on by a group of fulings or whatever pls address this, something dont seem right about it as is. >.<

What do you mean? It gets put back into the tool bar if you pick it up already.

And don't throw it, if it's your only weapon^^ You normally want to carry a second weapon with you in that case anyway and maybe a bow as well.

Use the goblin's spear :V
It stacks to 10 and has infinite throws (when you throw it... it doesn't decrease stack, so even with 1/10 you can throw as many times as you want)

it's monster-only weapon
it can be spawned using commands inside of game (it's literally weapon of the fulings that throw spears at you, called GoblinSpear)
But, yeah, you need mod to use it as player, without modding it... it will break your inventory once you aquire it... and you need to suicide to repair inventory then (from grave pick up everything but spear)

The fact that it's spawned using commands is in the same comment as warning~~
Not to mention they can simply recover backup of character too
or mod item so it's useable as player after they aquire it (it works this way too)

first time posting on steam community didnt mean to spam doah! #facepalm.. well usually my inventory is full from auto pick up, so when im running to receive the spear a greydwarf eye fills the spear slot >.< on top of that my stam is low from blocking and running,etc its just a nuance/hassle, would just be nice to focus on the fight and not juggle auto pick uped items just to continue the battle. no reason to criticize my fighting strategies/style i find being 600hrs into this game its fun to try different styles and approaches to battle/fights

Fang spear is one of my favourite weapons and I throw it often. The culprit here is not the way spears themselves work, which is fine, but the annoying auto loot system filling your inventory up with junk all the time. You can download a mod to make auto loot less annoying, I think, or just carry less stuff/drop junk out of your inventory regularly.

i dont want to have to revert to using mods, cheats, hacks or command interface, just pure and simple game play as intended to be played but thanks for the suggestion either way..

You want to play the game as it's intended to be played, but are asking for it to be changed so that you can play it how you want it to be played?

Whatever - just don't carry so much junk around then, and thrown spears will go right back onto your hotbar where they were before you threw them as soon as you pick them up.

eh, whatever not worth loosing sleep over, guess ill just have to choose between fighting or farming cant have both i guess..

just turn off auto loot for while in combat and 30 seconds after..

You can ask that it be closed by the mods by adding <PLS CLOSE> to the title.

You can not delete a thread once it goes over 8 comments though.

The mods are active enough they may even notice you asking for it to be closed in the comments... easier to notice in the title though.
