we already have infinite light sources right now.
an infinite fire could be a thing maybe. would fit the deep north.
new crafting stations arent likely anymore. black forge will probaly end at 7 like regular forge did.
new skills are extremely unlikely by this point. just wouldnt make sense anymore in the final biome.
better question is what the deep norths boss item will do. we dont get another biome so this time it cannot drop a item to enable something in the next biome and just a key for a final final boss would be boring.
if there is another tame it has to surpass a 2 star asksvin. i cannot see anyway to do that unless we get a flying tame we can ride.
given the deep north is a frozen wasteland new crops will probaly grow anywhere.
new wood type is extremely unlikely since we already have 3 now.
1 new heavy build material is likely. maybe something indestructible for the final. very hard to surpass the marble propertys without makeing it fully immune to everything.
weapon and gear is probaly the most interresting part. final biome means all weapons have to be present that arent purely gimick one time deals like fists or 2hand axes.
biome is probaly hardgated by the emerald flame. without it youll probaly just freeze to death so players dont just skip to deep north right away.
was hopeing for a new pickaxe made at the black forge finally with ashlands but didnt happen. maybe in deep north.
overall anything is possible given its the final biome. sadly i think in order to do it justice we will wait probaly 2 years for it this time.
And better glass for windows, more sleek and clean then the crystal one we have currently.
Also better coding to have more FPS !
^^ better windows for sure. My new home is open to the world rather than put in crystal blur glass, its actually got a 360 view with just a few supports to make a chest-loft and roof. (pic below)
I want some 'paneling' or heavily grained wood (light wood, dark grain texture maybe?) that looks nice with repeated walls, like black marble does when connected.
I want a ladder if its possible. If not I can keep using portals instead of stairs... sigh.
I want a trap door. Its to use with the ladder, mostly, but there are many other uses too -- if its large, it can even be a drawbridge of sorts.
I want the pieces we don't have, like the fuling village construction pieces. Also the new roof .. where is our capstone piece & real corner pieces?!
this is just me. Its totally wrong for a viking. But in the deep north, building with ice blocks / igloo style seems like it should be a thing.
new seed, new home... mtn/plains/meadows overlapped with ocean access, the home is just a big square with the roof lofted on minimal supports and stuffed full of big chests. I can just camera up and get into them from the main floor, so storage is at hand everywhere in there. Excess comfort and crafting buried under floor.

Good points, agree with a lot.
My prediction would be that we don't get any new build materials, but more variations on the current ones. In case we get new materials, it would be used in interior decoration. Much like how the mountain works.
The flame would be something you use to make either an item that lets you walk in the north without freezing to death, or make a hearth of eternal flame.
New axe and pickaxe, maybe? We'll have to see if they add a new metal or go the Mistland route with the eitr. If there is a new metal, its possible.
Not sure about tames, I do worry about the lox first and foremost :(
Boss item could be a new material to make high-end weapons I think. Rewards repeating the boss and does make you a godly killing machine in the end-game.
