Bingo!
I'm new to Ashlands, but apparently landed next to a fortress. Maybe it's normal, but if I fart a hoard of charred come over to investigate. Jumping over those warriors has been great fun!
It's funny how quickly one can make a bench, build some stairs and assault a tower all while playing the kite leap frog against mobs of assaulting foes.
Suggestion: Take out the first skugg ballista using any missile attack before building anything. Once you make some stairs and go over the edge, take out those monuments (burning wood triagle spawners) followed by the archers, then go for the wizards and remaining warriors. Do not be afraid to go back to the stairs to regain some stamina and ALWAYS have a nearby portal built!
I've been experimenting with surviving solo myself. The best solution for me so far has been a full set of askvin and a feather cape. I use the lightning ash bow, and frost arrows, i carry a meads for stam, fire resist, and health, and those things that make the platforms in the lava. I use 2 stan and a health for food.
This basically allows me to either bow down everything or just run.
Usually carry 3-4 health pots, 3-4 stam pots, & 2-3 lingering stam.
For mage, I bring all staffs with Dundr being my least used, and use a storm spear as my melee. 2E+1S food.
Same pots as above, but lingering stam I replace w/ eitr pot.
Both are great fun, and both styles are completely viable in Ashalands.
get into the fort and make it yours. congratz. you completed entire ashlands progression^^
imagine thinking gravity beeing disabled is not an OP item. casual.
while it does still work of course the spear is by far the worst weapon for ashlands enemies in generel (yes bacon i can hear you heavy breathing over there relax and keep useing your spear despite this fact). this is simply due to everything resisting pierce dmg by 50% aside asksvins and valks. so the spears actual dmg is half of what it lists at pretty much all times.
for lighting the generel rule is "the faster it attacks the better lighting becomes" the slower it is the worst it becomes.
2 stamina foods? are you playing default settings? cause i am pretty sure a 2 star asksvin can oneshot with just 1 hp food and light armor.
He doesn't jump around in Feather cape like a bloody ballerina and is definitively not wearing super-heavy-heat-protecting-armour like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ !
I think this ends this discussion :D
In my day we killed charred warriors naked, with our bare hands, until they chopped our hands off and left us with two bloody stumps. Then we killed them with out bare feet until the chopped our legs off and we were just a body, and head, and 4 bloody stumps. Then we killed them by flopping up against them like a bloody stump seal out of water.
And we liked it!
Correction - It's 2 health and a stam.
